Matching Gifts Program

HELP US GIVE AWAY $100,000 IN 100 DAYS!

We’ll match all qualified* charitable donations YOU make between Tuesday, August 18, 2020 and Wednesday, November 25, 2020.

We’re committed to giving back to charitable entities within our field of membership, as well as charities elsewhere that are meaningful to our members.

It’s simple – we give back because it is part of the foundation from which credit unions were built on…people helping people – and we’re proud to offer our members the opportunity to maximize their charitable donations through our Matching Gifts Program.

We hope our Matching Gifts Program will inspire you to make a donation to your favorite 501(c)(3) charity, so they will in turn be able to further their meaningful mission to positively impact the world we live in. Donations must be at least $25 and will be matched in increments of $25 ($25, $50, $75, and $100, etc.). Charter Oak will match up to a maximum of $500 per member during these 100 days or until our Matching Gifts funding limit is met.

For the Member…

Review the guidelines.
Select a 501(c)(3) charity.
Make a donation and complete the Matching Gifts Member Request Form below. Send the donation and the form to the charity.

CHARITY eSUBMISSION FORM

*Valid on donations up to $500 made by primary members between 8/18/20 and 11/25/20 or until Matching Gifts funding limit is met. Donations must be made to organizations recognized as tax exempt by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Some exclusions apply. Charter Oak Federal Credit Union reserves the right to deny any request, and can modify or terminate the program at any time. Submission of an application is NOT a guarantee of a match. Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is not responsible to match the donation if the charity does not properly comply with the terms mentioned above. Matching contributions that are paid by Charter Oak Federal Credit Union are exclusively owned by Charter Oak Federal Credit Union and do not qualify as a tax deduction for the participants of the program. Consult your tax advisor for the deductibility of your personal contribution for Federal and State income tax purposes. Program is only valid for Charter Oak Federal Credit Union Members.
